Environmental Policy
Building seats means working with steel, foam, fabric and paint. We have therefore written our environmental policy around the issues we actually meet in the workshop, not in general phrases.
Our principles
Comply with environmental legislation and related regulations
Reduce waste at source and collect unavoidable waste separately
Plan energy and material use so that nothing is consumed needlessly
Keep our staff informed on environmental matters
Waste management
Steel, foam and fabric
Offcuts are collected separately by material. What can be recycled goes to recycling.
Paint, chemicals and hazardous waste
Hazardous waste such as paint and chemical containers is handed over to authorised companies in line with the regulations.
Energy and materials
We plan production order by order. Not cutting more material than needed, and not building up idle stock, lowers both cost and environmental impact. We also arrange machine and lighting use around the work flow.
Packaging
We pack products so they travel safely without using more material than necessary, and we choose recyclable packaging wherever possible.
Product life
A seat that stays in use for many years is the most concrete environmental contribution we can make. That is why spare parts and repair are part of this policy too. See our Sustainability page for more.
